THE STORY TOLD BY OUR FOUNDER.

I've always had an unquenchable thirst for creation and design. Despite my deep immersion in the arts, life nudged me toward the realms of science, technology, and engineering. I earned my degree in biomedical engineering from The University of Texas, where I eventually found myself in the world of product development engineering. My work involved designing cutting-edge orthopedic implants for shoulder replacements. While the experience provided invaluable insights into efficient design, intricate surgical instrumentation, and holistic product development, I yearned for something more—a chance to unleash my creativity and delve into financial analysis and business development.

Outer Woods became my canvas—an endeavor where I could become anything I wanted, mold it into my vision, and define its values. Each day, I wake up enthralled by the prospect of engaging with incredible individuals, crafting beautifully engineered pieces, and nurturing this venture. I relish the journey of growing this business organically, blending marketing, data, and nurturing relationships.

VENTURING BEYOND ENGINEERING.

So, I ventured beyond engineering and into the world of financial planning, honing entrepreneurial and financial skills along the way. Yet, something felt amiss. I sensed I wasn't staying true to myself, my passions, my talents. I wasn't content pretending to be something I wasn't at my core. It was time to take a leap, forsaking the security of my education and steady income, shattering the preconceived notions of what my job title should be. And so, Outer Woods was born.

EMBRACING CHALLENGES + BOLD LIVING.

We've learned to cherish the moments when the journey isn't smooth, when it's peppered with challenges, uncertainties, and the occasional head-scratching. Those struggles, the grind, the inevitable mistakes, and the fear of the unknown are all vital components of our growth. They elevate the highs and shape our story. Life is fleeting, and we believe regrets often stem from what we didn't dare to do. Taking risks, making mistakes, and embracing an intriguing narrative are the ingredients of a fulfilling life.
